The 6-Day Machame Route is one of the most popular and scenic ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Known as the “Whiskey Route,” Machame offers diverse landscapes, dramatic ridges, and excellent acclimatization through the “climb high, sleep low” approach.
This route passes through rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and arctic summit zones before reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m) the highest point in Africa. Though physically demanding, Machame provides high summit success rates and unforgettable scenery.
Accommodation throughout the trek is in high-quality mountain tents, supported by an experienced mountain crew.
