All trips operated by Nathan African Safari. Clients receive a detailed itinerary describing the different places they will go and things they will see, so they know what to expect. The safari services agreed with the client will be provided, except in the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as road closures, bad weather, problems, or security considerations. In such cases, the itinerary may be changed at the discretion of the company, clients informed, and alternative arrangements made as circumstances permit. Nathan African Safari will make every reasonable effort to ensure the same quality and character of the itinerary.
Clients must accept that conditions in Tanzania/Africa are not the same as those in developed countries. In Tanzania/Africa, we are exposed to unannounced and sudden changes in government-regulated fees and taxes, such as national park fees and taxes. Nathan African Safari has the right to pass these local taxes/fees on to their customers.
After clients confirm their booking, they receive an invoice with all details. To confirm a reservation, we require:
45% deposit of the itinerary cost
100% upfront payment for airline tickets
The balance of payment is due 65 days prior to the commencement date of your itinerary. Bookings made within 65 days prior to departure require full prepayment at the time of confirmation.
Payments can be made by bank wire/transfer.
If you cancel your booking (in full or partially), the following charges apply:
65+ days before departure: Deposit non-refundable
50-65 days before departure: 50% of the itinerary cost
0-50 days before departure: 100% of the itinerary cost
After confirmation, changes to your itinerary or departure date may incur an extra fee of $150 (subject to availability).
All prices on nathanafricansafari.com are per person, based on two persons (unless stated otherwise) and quoted in US dollars (US$). Exclusions:
Passports/visas, border taxes
Tips for guides, drivers, hotel staff
Travel insurance, personal expenses
Peak-season surcharges or child discounts
Prices are guidelines only; Nathan African Safari is not responsible for pricing errors. Quotes are valid for 2 weeks.
You will receive all travel documents (vouchers, e-tickets, luggage labels) two weeks before departure.
Clients must have comprehensive travel and medical insurance covering:
Medical & repatriation expenses
Optional: Trip cancellation, emergency evacuation, lost baggage
Nathan African Safari reserves the right to cancel your booking if no valid insurance is purchased.
Visas: Most nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival in Tanzania ( 50 ; U S c i t i ze n s 100).
Passports: Must be valid for at least six months beyond your return date.
Nathan African Safari is not liable for visa issues or associated costs.
If a name on the invoice needs correction more than 3 days after issuance, a €125 fee applies.
Making a booking with Nathan African Safari constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Contract
Your contract is with Nathan African Safari.
A binding agreement is formed upon receipt of a 50% deposit (or full payment for bookings within 12 weeks of departure).
Medical Conditions & Disabilities
Notify us in writing of any medical conditions affecting travel.
Documentation
Verify all details upon receipt; report errors within 14 days.
Cancellation by You
Written notice required; fees apply as per the cancellation policy.
Surcharges
Prices may increase due to taxes, fuel, or park fees. Changes under 2% are absorbed; over 10% allows cancellation with a full refund.
Amendments by You
Changes permitted for 75– 100 per person (depending on nationality). No changes within 12 weeks of departure.
Cancellation by Nathan African Safari
We may cancel before full payment is received. Compensation: $75 per person (except for force majeure: war, natural disasters, pandemics, etc.).
Amendments by Nathan African Safari
Major changes (e.g., flight delays >12 hours) allow rebooking or full refund.
Liability
We are not liable for:
Third-party activities/excursions
Infrastructure issues (power/water shortages)
Events beyond our control (force majeure)
Maximum liability: 200% of holiday cost (excluding injury/death from negligence).
Carriers
Air/sea travel subject to carrier terms; we are not liable for delays, lost luggage, or rescheduling.
Legal Jurisdiction
Governed by Tanzanian law; disputes resolved in Dar es Salaam courts.
Complaints
Report issues immediately during the trip. Submit written complaints within 28 days of return.
